We have a very brief post this month, mostly because I hae gotten very little done. I am well into the “here’s a square of color every few inches” part of the pattern, and it means I’m spending a long time going square by square to see where the color should be. The very sparse location of the colors combined with the many shades of brown I am currently using makes going for long stretches working on the pattern mentally exhausting, since I keep double checking I’m in the right spot. I’m not looking forward to having to do this every time I’m coming close to finishing a new section of the pattern, but it should all be worth it in the end. At least I really, REALLY, hope so.
Unfortunately I haven’t had time to listen to much of the audio book since I’m concentrating on locating the correct part of the pattern. Instead I’ve been playing spotify in the background on low so I have some background noise without needing to pay close attention to what is going on. Thankfully I have a long playlist of instrumental music that can carry me through the time I spend working on this project.
